Each chapter will address a memory, a moment and a specific location from John’s audio diary, using binaural audio and real time 3D animations to create a fully immersive experience in a ‘world beyond sight’.Notes on Blindness VR is viewable with or without virtual reality headset (cardboard mode or smartphone mode). Notes on Blindness VR is available in English, French and German. Runs on Samsung S6 (or later) and Nexus 9 or later, as well as on any device from a similar generation. Requires Android 5.1 or later versions. For full user experience, please use headphones, raise the volume and increase the luminosity of your phone.

it's a good vr experience. However; for those of us without any hardware buttons; the ONLY way to close the app is to press the power button and then select a notification, go into your open apps and close it from there. Not even Bixby works; although that's a good thing. being able to use my home button whilst in the app will return a 5* rating :)
One of the best "go to" vr experiences if you want to discover this technology. I definitely recommend it a million times. It made my day. Also, the graphics, gameplay and narration are right on point !
it takes a lot of time to download
Couldn't work this with daydream even though I have cardboard calibration. A shame looking forward to this VR experience very much.
Crashed instantly. Samsung phone.
The bad reviews all seem to be from people who experience crash bugs, not because of the content. I fortunately have had none of those issues and all I can say is wow! The original diaries read out by John Hull are fantastic and give as clear an insight as I've ever had into blindness, and the VR components of this app (especially the directional sound) really help to picture yourself as the author. Based on this I'll definitely be buying the John Hull's book, 'touching the rock'. FYI VR goggles etc. aren't required, you can just use your phone and headphones as I did.
The app crashes within 30 seconds no matter which chapter I choose. I'm using a Google Pixel XL. Apparently this problem has persisted for months and nothing has been done about it. What a shame.
I've heard great things, would love to experience this. Please fix if possible
**Edit: This is also part of the "Within" app and seems like it should work, will report back after the experience**. Much like the others with the I really wanted to give the a shot (I've heard nothing but good things) however the app will render that I have my finger on the screen to activate the experience, please please fix this...
